"I'm goin' to Jackson!"

Possibly one of the TOP vacation spots for this family is Jackson Hole and Teton National Park! We love this time of year when we can load up the canoe, bikes, and hiking boots and venture to this beautiful area. This June, we went with Jen and Berk and their family and camped for 4 nights. The first night on our way to Lizard Creek, we saw a mother grizzly bear and her two cubs in the meadow by Jackson Lake Lodge. Only a few miles later, we saw a second grizzly - wow, first time ever seeing that! When we got to Lizard Creek, (thankfully there was 3 spots left) we learned that there was a black bear and her cub spotted around one of the sites. Of course the kids all wanted to go find the bears. Instead, we let them throw rocks in the lake to their hearts content. Lizard Creek was beautiful but we were so far north that we couldn't get the view of the Tetons that we wanted, so Jen and I scouted out Colter Bay and stayed there the remainder of our trip. We had such a great time with our two families and the kid's loved being with their cousins. Paden's favorite memory was watching Berkley put "boy scout gas" on the fire, and swimming in Jackson Lake. Tyce's favorite memory was seeing the bears, and jumping off a 15 foot cliff into Phelps Lake. Kayla's favorite memory was playing house in the trees with Ellie and Carly and of course, swimming with her brothers in the ice cold lake (surprising, huh!)
