Wasatch Back
This year, Blake and I put a team together for the Ragnar Wasatch Back Relay in June. After wracking our brains, he finally came up with our team name, "Live and Let Run." (He's awesome!) But, sad to say, both he and Berkley ended up with ankle issues and we were in a bind, scrambling to find some runners! We recruited Blake as our driver of van 2, and Steph Povey and her daughter, Sarah, to run. (We were very glad Blake was our driver because he took care of all of us and seemed to be the "brains" when we were all too tired to think.) It was a blast having my mom, Ashley, Whitney's husband, Marc, Steph, and Sarah in our van. Our other van of stalwart runners consisted of Lori, Natalie, Shannon and her husband, Kevin, Dana, and Layne. This year there were over 1000 teams competing. We finished in 29 hours, 19 minutes and placed 130th out of 660 teams in our coed division. When all is said and done, it WAS a toughy . . . but you forget quickly . . . and can't wait to do it again!
